The history of MCS Marine Claims Service dates back to the year 1992. While the majority of boat and yacht claims were handled internally by insurers in their own claims department, again and again there were cases that required special attention. Complex major losses, mysterious accidents and most of all increasingly professionalised thefts since the 1990s made even more efficient claims processing necessary. This point marked the birth of MCS.

The scope of activities of the newly founded company quickly developed far beyond general claims management. The company procured its own salvage equipment, refined search methods and expanded its network as well as its clientele.

To this day the office of experts and surveyors is still successfully holding the course it set back then.

In addition to the handling of claims with a criminal background, over time MCS has also made a name for itself in the crisis management of major losses in particular. The success of MCS proves that the need for expert knowledge in the area of boot and yacht claims is more prevalent than ever. Today many insurers and banks fall back on the know-how of MCS for surveys and claims Management.
